Fição ou Realidade?

Começando pelo fim: O Castor é um filme que, não sendo extraordinário - longe disso - acaba por ter o seu quê de curioso enquanto case study de art-portraing-life. 

Dito de outro modo, talvez se não tivesse Mel Gibson como seu protagonista não tivesse tanto interesse - mas sucede que tem!

Ora, e sabendo nós os momentos pessoais poucos felizes que este tem vivido nos últimos tempos, o que me pareceu - enquanto espetador - é que este acaba por "representar" o seu personagem com uma autenticidade e genuinidade que funciona, em última instância, como catarse emocional de todos os seus dramas reais e que lhe confere a melhor performance da respetiva carreira.

Focando o seu tema na solidão, depressão e esquizofrenia do personagem de Gibson [que o leva a falar com um castor e a fazer-se ouvir por intermédio deste], uma conclusão parece-me indubitável: Gibson pode ainda não ter ultrapassado os seus "fantasmas" mas lá que os conseguimos ver, ah isso conseguimos.

Heróis Intemporais

Penso que Charlotte Bronte teria ficado bastante satisfeita com esta adaptação do livro homónimo por si escrito e publicado em meados do século XIX (mais precisamente em 16 de outubro de 1847).

Porque aqui os louvores não vão apenas - como regra geral sucede - para a reconstituição histórica e vertente técnica - onde se inclui designadamente o guarda roupa, a fotografia e a banda sonora.

Aqui o que mais se destaca - e é exatamente isso que o torna tão bom e diferencia dos demais - é a excelente adaptação literária - muito fiél ao livro - e notável intensidade que o realizador [Cary Fukunaga] e o elenco em geral [com especial destaque para uma notável Mia Wasikowska] conseguem incutir à história e aos seus "heróis" e que faz com que nos riamos, choremos e torçamos por eles como se de personagens reais se tratassem - o que é notável!

Recomendo vivamente!

iGeneration Romantic Comedy

Eis a comédia romântica para a Jobs-Gen, plena de tiques, piadas e afins relacionados com os gadjets da maça, flash-mobs e outros que tais.

Ora, e é exatamente pela sua atualidade que o filme ganha pontos e cria o seu target no publico urbano do seculo XXI que, penso, se divertirá bastante - como sucedeu comigo - durante praticamente 1H40.

Com um argumento que consegue ser inovador - o que não se antevia como possivel - e peripécias hilariantes, Amigos Coloridos é uma comédia consistente, que não desilude e perfeita para esta estação. 

Aqui o objetivo era entreter e consegui-o de forma inteligente.

Destaque ainda para a sempre notável Patricia Clarkson, bem como para a simpática química entre os protagonistas.

Gostei!
Nota: não percam o genérico final.

Katy Perry bate all-time-record na Billboard

Com "Last friday Night" conseguiu Perry atingir o n.º1 do top com 5 singles consecutivos...do mesmo álbum!

Ao último single precederam "California Gurls" (c/ Snoop Dogg), "Teenage Dream", "Firework" e "E.T." (c/ Kanye West)- todos eles atingindo a referida posição do top americano.

Historicamente nenhuma cantora atingiu este feito e, entre os homens, apenas Michael jackson com Bad" (em 1987-88) e o seu single homónimo, bem como com "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" (c/ Siedah Garrett); "The Way You Make Me Feel"; "Man in the Mirror"; e "Dirty Diana."

A unidimensionalidade imatura

Reconheço que a expetativa era considerável, atendendo às criticas que tinha lido e que elevaram a fasquia - em especial a do site awardsdaily e com o qual constumo concordar de sobremaneira.

Ora, e como regra geral sucede nestes casos, aquelas acabaram por sair defraudadas...

Porquê, perguntam...porque, não obstante o Planeta dos Macacos ser um filme tecnicamente irrepreensivel  [por mais estranho que pareça não foi usado nenhum macaco real...] faltou-lhe maturidade e densidade.

Dito de outro modo, se o seu target alvo for o publico infanto-juvenil então talvez funcione; sucede que, não me encontrando eu no referido, acaba por resultar como um filme mais simplista que um qualquer oriundo dos estúdios Disney, onde os maus são muito maus e os bons muito bons, tudo nele obedecendo à lógica do estereótipo e da análise facilitista, superficial e imediatamente apreensível.

E é exatamente esse, para mim, o seu ponto mais fraco e que  acaba por arruina-lo enquanto objeto cinematografico.

De ressalvar ainda, pela negativa, uma performance lamentavel de James Franco - cada vez mais associado ao stoned-look - e uma totalmente indiferente Freida Pinto.

Mas nem tudo é mau: de positivo saliento um notável Andy Serkis (o Gollum de O Senhor dos Anéis) - que acaba por ser o que de melhor o filme artisticamente tem para oferecer - e a já referida vertente técnica.

Em suma, entretem mas não mais que isso.

Será desta a nomeação para óscares? Ou optará Portugal por levar a concurso "José e Pilar"?
